Inspired and Exhausted! E don be an amazing few days, as some of the most talented minds for the DAC community don come together to work on the foundation for more fair, transparent and valuable systems and tools for all. The enthusiasm level nor be here, everybody dey feel am around the clock and around the world. See wetin don happened so far:

Preview Night Call — Some of the most recognized names for our space joined in with many people, participants and friends, wish the DACathon well and check in on how the event go be. Hosted by talented and tenacious Jun Dam, na Zoom the group use to connect, as a community.

Not only did people register, but sponsors come forward to pay for registration for other people when nor fit afford to participate. In addition, many other people offer additional rewards for the Hackathon prizes! (More on that, below.)

DACathon Day 1 — Registrants and others when dey interested for DACs joined Zoom or YouTube to watch the video greetings. Hosted by Jun Dam, the community watch video presentations, join in for discussion and then later begin DAC creation.

Thanks to all of the speakers and to Ky Primo wen do some kind historic and thought-provoking interviews! Interviews wen dey share include Duane Phillippi from CSX/KROWN, EOS Advocate Brock Pierce, Luke Stokes from EOSDAC, Saro McKenna from EOSDAC, John Chamberlain from BOS, and John Heeter from DAC Factory. Day 1 Live Video

The team learn about the DAC Factory system for creating DACs and discuss how to set up new DAC for the DAC Factory’s Testnet.

Everybody on the call were able to participate for the discussions around creation of the new DAC, include name, the mission and the high level rules of governance. The 33 people wen register were given Testnet tokens to vote. The results included:

· DAC Name: MetaDAC

· DAC Mission: To promote DACs through community engagement, technology, tools and strategic design

· DAC MainNet Token: DACDAC

· DAC Testnet Token: MDAC

· DAC Testnet Tokens Issued: 33

· Custodians: 7

· Testnet Token’s Custodian Voting Votes: 3

· MainNet Constitution Changes: Non-transferability of voting tokens

DACathon Day 2 — Day 2 start with more inspirational videos from community innovators Fred Krueger from Lynxchain, Duane Phillippi from CSX and KROWN, Yves La Rose from EOS Nation, and Rieki Cordon from Seeds. You fit see videos for the DACathon 2020 Playlist on KROWN DAC’s YouTube channel. They use Polls for initial votes, and for the name of the MainNet voting token.

They create the voting token for the Testnet and thanks to Chris Anderberg, wen make sure say tokens were issued to people wen register, and make sure say each token holder get 3 custodian votes.

They nominate Custodian candidates, and 13 candidates were brought forward for which the voting token holder community fit vote for.

Registrants vote for custodians on the MetaDAC Testnet site. They select seven custodians through the voting process.

Living White Paper — They create the MetaDAC Living White Paper, tracking the past and future activity and links wen relate.

Hackathon Planning — The new custodians nor waste time to start work for Telegram and on planning call to setup the rules and schedule for the Hackathon part of the event. They extend the deadline to 1/31/20 2 a.m. UTC / 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET for submissions and 2/1/20 for Team Project presentations. Presentation begin for 2:00 p.m. UTC / 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET. Reward Pools for Prizes — Many people were generous with Hackathon Prize contributions which resulted in the following reward pool:

· From 33 registrants: 27 (270 EOS) + 3 (900 Telos) + 3 (6000) BOS

Also, CrytoFeez has been covering the DACathon for he live nightly videos. Just minutes after the end of the DACathon event days, CryptoFeez go live and interview Duane Phillippi, with Max Infeld, Chris Anderberg and Marie Fuentes. The interview (including dancing) starts about 30 minutes in the video, below. CryptoFeez has been super supportive of the KROWN community, telling the story of KROWN and inviting his Telegram group to get KROWNed with tips.
